This paper describes a new genus and a species of Labeoninae,which was collected from the River Nanpanjiang in Qiubei County of Yunnan,China.New genus Fivepearlus Li,yang,Li et Chen gen.nov.,with its type species Fivepearlus yunnanensis Li,yang,Li et Chen sp.nov.Body of the new genus is completely scaled.The Branched caudal fin rays are 5.The new genus is distinguished from more than 20 genera of Labeoninae in China by the lower lip with special structure,which have five round protuberances,liking a string of beads.The new species is named Fivepearlus yunnanensis Li,yang,Li et Chen sp.nov.(fig1),whose holotype,No.20160928001,total length 63mm,was collected on Sep 28,2016 from the Qingshuijiang of Qiubei county (Riveres Nanpangjiang) in Yunnan province,and kept in Heilongtan Reservoir of shilin,Yunnan.Description:D.iii,7; A.ii,5; P.i,13; V.i,6; Branched caudal fin rays 16; lateral line is straight.Depth of body in standard body length 4.84,length of head 3.94,length of caudal peduncle 4.84,depth of caudal peduncle 9.70.Snout in head 2.67,diameter of eye 4.00,interorbital space 4.00.Depth of caudal peduncle in its length 2.00.
