Abstract: The experiments of exacting flavonoids in different parts of  Houttuynia cordata Thunb are conducted by four extraction methods (water boiled extraction method;ethanol refluent extraction method;suoshi extraction method;supersonic extraction method) to measure the flavonoids content by uv spectrum.The results show that the best extraction method is suoshi extraction method,and the order the highest to the lowest of flavonoids content  in different parts of  Houstonian cordata Thunb is:leaf，whole grass，slim，root.
