Synthesis and Characterization of Transition-Metal Complexes of 2-Salicylaldehyde Aminophenol and Alcohol

Abstract: This paper introduced the preparation of the Zn(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ) and Mn(Ⅱ) complexes of 2-salicylaldehyde aminophenol and alcohol.The properties of the complexes were characterized by element analysis,IR,UV and Molarconduction.The result showed that the coordination number of metal ions is four,with tetragonal planar structures.Because the metal ions have different d electron structures,there are the differences of the luminescent property between the complexes.
