Abstract: The dissolubility of the black mercury sulfide in the solutions of the non-oxidative strong acid and alkali is studied by means of chemical thermodynamics.The results indicate that the black mercury sulfide can surely dissolve in single halogen acid,but it can’t dissolve in the solutions of alkali.
