Abstract: The current situation of cultivating reserve sports talents in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture is surveyed.The results show that although there are some achievements,there still exists imbalance between the coaches’record of formal schooling and their capability,and the tralining quality needs to be improved.Although the athletes resources can be guaranteed,the percentage of talent output is too low.The major reasons lie in the fact that the investment is not enough,and the talent training and selecting are not scientific.
