Abstract: Taking the research on traditional ethnic sports in China in recent 10 years as an example,this paper uses CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software and makes visualization analysis  of 211 core journal papers and 710 master and doctoral papers collected in CNKI database from 2010 to 2022,and analyzes the development of traditional ethnic sports from the chronological perspective.The results showed that in 2017,the number of papers published in the core journals of ethnic traditional sports research reached its peak,and then the number of related literatures decreased.The overall development trend can be summarized into three periods,namely stable period,peak period and cool-off period.Research hotspots include inheritance,development,traditional sports and sports culture,etc.The key words include "current situation","colleges and universities","development situation" and "Wushu".The research field mainly focuses on the connotation,development,inheritance and innovation of traditional national sports.The development of Chinese ethnic traditional sports has begun to take shape.The future research trend will be explored with the requirement of modernization development as guidance.
