Urease Inhibition Evaluation of Sophora Flower Bud Extracts

Abstract:

Urease inhibition of ethanolic,ethyl acetate and dichloromethane extracts from Sophora flower bud were evaluated through indophenol method.Results revealed good activities of the three extracts with IC50s of 2.63,1.90,0.53 g/L,respectively.Enzyme inhibition kinetics disclosed that these extracts showed reversible inhibition mechanism with mixed type,having Kis of 0.32,0.22,0.084 g/L,respectively.These findings provide a reasonable explanation for the stomach protection and restoration functions of Sophora flower bud.
