Abstract: Five anthropological traits of total 562 people of Miao nationality(252 males,310 females ),including thumb type,palmar digital formula,nail type,planta digital formula and single flexion crease were investigated.The findings indicated that:(1)the frequency of straight thumb was 83.27%,the over stretch was 16.73%,the ring finger was mostly longer than the index finger,the frequency of longer ring finger was 89.32%,the frequency of longer index finger was 10.68%,the frequency of flat nail was 45.55%,the frequency of non-flat nail was 54.45%,the frequency of longer first toe was 44.31%,the frequency of longer second toe was 55.69%,the frequency of single flexion crease was 7.12% (much lower than that of without it);(2)the frequency of straight thumb had remarkable sex difference(P<0.05),the frequencies of longer ring finger had a remarkable sex difference（P<0.01）,the nail type,the tip of toe long and single flexion crease didn't have remarkable sex difference（P>0.05）;(3)no correlation occurred between the 5 traits.
