Abstract: A new chemiluminescence method for  determination of ranitidine is proposed.The method is based on the enhancement of ranitidine on the chemiluminescence reaction among cerium sulphate and sodium sulfite in H₂SO₄ medium.The linear relationship between the intensity of chemiluminescence and the concentration of ranitidine is in the range of 3.0×10^-6~2.5×10^-4 mol/L with the detection limit of 9.8×10^-7 mol/L.The relative standard deviation is 3.3% for 11 measurements of 5.0×10^-5 mol/L ranitidine standard solution.This method has been successfully applied to determination of ranitidine in injections and drug capsules with satisfactory results.
