Abstract: From an analysis of 72 species of terristial isopoda collected in 20 sampling areas throughout 5 typical zones (i.e.,tropical,subtropical,warm temperate, temperate and high frigid) in China, the author found out the following specific faunastic characteristics among terrestrial isopoda of typical zones:1.with strong regional differences in distribution and more zonal special species;2.the leading position is occupied by the fauna of tropical and subtropical zones of Oriental Realm;3.the ecological habitats among species are diversified;4.as compared with Japanese species, there are big differences between species category.More than 84% indigenous Chinese species are different from Japanese species, indicating the existence of further strong faunastic diffeences on species distribution.
