Abstract:

AHP-GEMS model of  cluster competitiveness measurement is established for Chinese salamander industry in Zhangjiajie, which includes four factor pairs and covers eight elements, and designs 34 evaluation indexes such as resources.AHP is applied to determine the weight of indexes, and GEMS model to make quantification and evaluation. The analysis results showed that the score of the competitiveness of Chinese salamander industrial cluster in Zhangjiajie is 582.55,which  is at the national level  and has strong cluster competitive advantages. The results also reveals the bottlenecks of Chinese salamander industry development in Zhangjiajie, for instance, limited domestic and foreign market, imcomplete deep processing industrial chain, low quality and education of employees, deficient transportation as well as insufficient communication facilities. In response to the disadvantages, suggestions are put forward to strengthen the integration of domestic and international markets, infrastructure construction and sustainable development, industry and tourism construction, and industrial development reform and innovation.
