    A class of p-Laplace equation with a nonsymmetric term on a bounded domain is studied.By using the large Morse index of the corresponding Laplace equation,we give a growth estimate about the series of min-max values of associated functional for the problem.The estimate is better than the given result in some range.It is shown that the problem possesses infinitely many weak solutions.

    There are several known exact results on the crossing numbers of Cartesian products of stars with “small” graphs. In this paper we extend these results to the cartesian products of a specific 6-vertex with  the star K1,n and determine its crossing number is z(6,n)+4n. In addition we give the crossing number of the graph Hn obtained by adding 2 edges to the graphin K2,4,n such a way that these  new edges respectively join a pair of vertices of degree n+2 of  the graph K2,4,n.

    In computer aided geometric design,an interpolation curve restricted on a given smooth surface is a new research aspect.The main solution is to transfer to the common curve interpolation based on the relation between the surface and its parameter domain.A new and practical method is introduced in this paper.The basic idea is as follows:at first the given data points and tangent vectors on the surface are projected to a plane,then construct a spline curve interpolating the projected data points on the plane.The intersect curve of the surface and the projecting cylinder of the spline curve is the G1 continous interpolation curve.

    Through analyzing the characteristics and the cooperating mode of the present Distributed Intrusion Detection System (DIDS),this paper proposes a kind of architecture based on Ring Distributed Coordinated Intrusion Detection System (RDCIDS).Furthermore,it expatiates on the event-generator,and event-analyzer,event-responder of the DIDS;adopts the protocol analysis,the data analysis,command interpreter and cooperate processor.It provides more convenience for the RDCIDS and overcomes the defects such as complicated structure and load imbalance in each subsystem of the present distributed intrusion detection system.

    Based on a brief review on developments of number system,a new developed pattern is proposed.The quaternion is extended to a matrix form aI+bA+cB+dC,in which the identity matrix I and three special matrices A,B,C correspond to number 1 and three units of imaginary number i,j,k,respectively.They form usually a ring,but some fields may be composed of three matrices aI+bA,aI+cB,aI+dC,and of some special 2-order,even n-order matrices.It is a new type of hypercomplex number fields.Finally,the possible physical meaning of the new number system is researched.

    The problem of stability analysis and control for consisting of a class of multiple subsystem of switched systems with time-delay are studied,sufficient conditions of switched system asymptotic stability are given be using linear matrix inequality.Condition of asymptotic stability of the switched systems and design technique of the switch laws by using multiple lyapunov function were given.Design technique  based on multiple Lyapunov Function can be expressed as linear matrix inequalities.The corresponding linear matrix inequalities based algorithms for determining stability bounds were derived.The switch laws and the maximum perturbation to ensure system stability can be calculated.The switched system consisting of multiple subsystems is simulated.The simulation results show effectiveness of the methods.

    Based on the fractal theory,a formula of computing the fractal dimension of the granular powder space is deduced using the accumulated density,powder particles’density and density of the pore media.At the same time,with the method of equivalent resistance,a series fractal model referring to effective themal conductivity of powder dispersion’s space is established.In addition,a formula is given considering the heat radiation.Through the curves of the fractal dimension and effective thermal conductivity's formula,it is analysed that the packing density has the impact to fractal dimension and the fractal dimension and temperature have influence on the effective thermal conductivity.The results indicate that fractal dimension of granular powder space goes higher with packing density increasing and effective thermal conductivity decreases with fractal dimension and increases with temperature.

    Graph coloring is a typical NP-completely problem.This paper puts forward a new method of vertex coloring of a graph based on genetic algorithm and heuristics search algorithm.This algorithm involves the coding methods of chromosome,the design of fitness function and the selection operators.Experiments show that this new algorithm can improve time complexity and obtain solutions of excellent quality.

    This paper mainly presents some improvements on computing discrete cosine transforms (DCT) and quantization part in the standard of JPEG image processing.Among these,the method of searching tables takes place of general DCT method for rasing the computation speed.In quantization part,the author use a vector quantization scheme based on simple and efficient “double test algorithm” instead of the general Euclidean distance vector searching algorithm,apparently speeding up the codebook searching speed.

    A digital image encryption algorithm based on chaotic mapping is presented in this paper.The paper formulates the approach of the map,designs a method of key generation and analyses the security of the proposed image encryption.The simulation results show that the proposed encryption approach is valid.Analysis shows that the map can encrypt compressed images or arbitrary length of data sets.

    This paper presents and comprehensive objective function considering network energy loss,node voltage level and investment reactive compensation equipment.Penalty function is considered to deal with variables violating the constraints.Its principal means is to regulate transformer rate and to parallel with capacitors.This paper implements reactive power optimization calculation based on above mathematical model by genetic algorithm,which has good algorithm efficiency and ability of global optimization.The method proposed in this paper is proved to be applicable and effective.

    CdSe/ZnS,CdTe/ZnS and CdSexTe1-x/ZnS core/shell luminescent composite nano-particles were synthesized in the aqueous to coat ZnS on water-soluble CdSe,CdTe and CdSexTe1-x QD (Quantum Dots) core.The properties of the as-prepared nano-particles were characterized by fluorescence spectra and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).Fluorescence spectra were used to probe the effect of time and the quantity of stable reagent (mercaptoethylic acid) on the spectral characterization of core/shell nano-particles.

    Xiaoxi National Natural Reserve of Hunan Province,located at the middle of Wulingshan Mountains in Central China,extending from 110°06′50″~110°21′35″ E and ,28°42′15″~28°53′15″N ,with an area 3 520 ha,is the one of well-protected typical evergreen broad-leaved forest in China.The preliminary results show that the evergreen broad-leaved forest of Xiaoxi,which mainly consists of Castanopsis tibetana forest,Cyclobalanopsis xiangxiensisi forest,Manglietia patungensis forest,Machilus lichuanensis forest,Castanopsis eyrei forest,Castanopsis fargesii,Schima superba forest and Lithocarpus xiangxiensisi forest,is a typical lower evergreen broad-leaved forest,because it possesses not only the general subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest characteristics,but also the high hot -wet and tropical-temperate characteristics.It is favorable for biodiversity conservation and ecology-environmental maintenance.Xiaoxi evergreen broad-leaved forest is rich of species diversity,as well as the rare and endangered species,and the special ecological habitatenvironment of valleys,in which the species are bred and conserved.It is of important value and significance to study the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest in China or even in the whol

    The number, location and pollutant discharge amount of the sewage outlets  were investigated at 9 conservation areas of drinking water  in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, and the data of 24 monitored indices for water quality at these regions were analysed and assessed with single pollution index. The results showed that there was a profusion of drinking water sources in these regions, and the water quality was also good in general. However, the water quality  decreased obviously due to a large pollutant discharge.

    Soluble protein antigens from different developmental stages of Periplaneta fuliginosa were used to immunize rabbits.The immunological characteristics of antigens from different stages of Periplaneta fuliginosa were analyzed with SDS-PAGE and enzyme-linked immuno-blotting (ELIB).Rabbits anti-sera against nymph and adult antigens were used to screen the cDNA library of Periplaneta Americana nymph,and the positive clones were identified by PCR.Results showed that the egg antigens,nympha antigens,male and female adult antigens revealed 13,28,26,41 bands,respectively.The results also showed that there were cross-reactive antigen components among these groups.One and 6 new genes were screened with nympha and adult antigen immunized rabbit sera,respectively.

    Considering the expected rate of the return of the portfolio and its risk (variance),the author  proposed a maximizing the utility portfolio selection model with risk-free asset,and importantly studied the situation in which the lending and borrowing rates of risk-free asset were different.Under short sales situation,using the Lagrange method and Sherman-morrison’s equation,the paper gets the optimal investing rate of every security and studies the efficient frontiers’ character.Under no short sales situation,the paper solves the model by the pivoting algorithm.The algorithm solves the quadric programming problem without adding slack,surplus and artificial variables.It is very efficient and easy to operate.At last,the paper compares the two models using an example and gets the result that risk preference coefficient with short sales and without short sales could reflect the investor’s expected rate of return and variance within the entire interval,and risk-free assets can create investment chance.
