Hemiboea gracilis Franch. var. guixiensis: A New Variety of Gesneriaceae from Hunan,China

Abstract

Abstract: A new variety of Gesneriaceae, Hemiboea gracilis Franch. var. guixiensis G. X. Chen, X.M.Xiang et L. T var. nov. from Hunan Province of China is described. The new variety is similar to the typical variety (Hemiboea gracilis Franch.) in morphology. But further observation showed that the new varietystems is sparsely pilose, leaf sides and petiole are densely bristly, except the inside of the flower, the rest is densely pilose, the fruit tips are sparsely pilose. Therefore, they are easy to distinguish.
