Abstract: To explore the clinical effect of ultrasound-guided stellate ganglion block combined with acupoint catgut implantation therapy in the treatment of intractable insomnia,60 patients with intractable insomnia who visited Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedic Hospital from January 1,2022 to December 31,2023 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture,while the treatment group was treated with ultrasound-guided stellate ganglion block combined with acupoint catgut implantation therapy.The treatment course for both groups was 10 days.The effective rate and pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scores of the patients before and after treatment were analyzed.The results showed that the number of cases with complete recovery and marked improvement in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group;the number of cases with no improvement in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group;the effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group;compared with the control group after treatment and the treatment group before treatment,the scores of 7 factors (sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep duration,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbance,use of hypnotic drugs,and daytime dysfunction) and PSQI scores of the treatment group after treatment were significantly decreased.This indicates that ultrasound-guided stellate ganglion block combined with acupoint catgut implantation therapy is an effective method that can significantly prolong sleep duration and improve sleep quality.
