Abstract: Through a search of Chinese and English databases, publicly published articles in domestic and international journals on microwave ablation for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer were identified.A total of 19 articles were included.A Meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and adverse reactions of microwave ablation in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer as reported in these articles.Trial sequential analysis was then employed to verify the stability of the results in the literature and to calculate the sample size required for consistent results. The results indicated that, compared with radiotherapy and chemotherapy alone, microwave ablation combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy significantly improved the complete response rate (P<0.000 01),partial response rate (P=0.01),and overall response rate (P<0.000 01) of patients, without significantly increasing the incidence of adverse reactions such as myelosuppression (P=0.13),gastrointestinal reactions (P=0.79),and pneumothorax (P=0.43).Regarding the complete response rate and overall response rate, the current research results are consistent. However, for the partial response rate, myelosuppression, gastrointestinal reactions, and pneumothorax, the current research results are inconsistent, and further verification with a larger sample size is still required.
