Abstract: The scientific concept of development has great guiding role and significance for the research of national traditional sports.The precondition and basis for the sustainable development of national traditional sports is to insist on the guiding ideology which emphasizes development being the first task,people-oriented concept and comprehensive,harmonious,sustainable development.The effective ways to achieve sustainable development of national traditional sports are as follows:to break through the limitation of evaluating national traditional sports within the range of pedagogy,to cultivate and improve talent quality,to speed up the course system adjustment of national traditional sports,and to establish multi-level,multi-demand,multi-type training bases.
