Abstract: The exobasidium gracile(shirai) syd was cultured in thirteen mediums, which were PDA medium,PDA medium adding fresh tea juice,PDA medium adding parched and cracked teas,Gause 1 medium,Gause 1 medium adding fresh tea juice,Gause 1 medium adding parched and cracked teas,Czapek medium. The results showed that PDA medium adding fresh tea juice was the most suitable for the growth of exobasidium gracile(shirai) syd and the best culture temperature was 22.5 ℃;basidium was elliptical or cylindric with two to four basidiospore on its top.Mature basidiospore could generate conidiophore via microcircle conidiation, then grow and breed by way of germinate.Marinating the seeds of rice with conidia fermented liquid,it can be concluded that the fermented liquid can stimulate the buding of seeds and accelerate growth of root.
