FDTD Simulation Band Gap of Two-Dimensional Square Cylinder Photonic Crystal

Abstract: This paper applies finite difference time domain method to calculate transmission coefficient of two-dimensional square cylinder photonic crystal.The calculated results obviously show that band gap exists.Band gap width is related to Polarization of incident ray,cylinder’s index of refraction and the existence of defects.
