Diagnosis and Assessment of Headache and Dizziness by Transcranial Doppler

Abstract

Abstract: Transcranial Doppler (TCD) was used to test the blood stream of cranial artery of 160 cases of headache and dizziness.The results show that 139 cases had abnormal blood stream velocity and spectrum change in internal carotid artery,arteria cerebri anterior,arteria cerebri media,and vertebrate-basilar artery;21 cases had no abnormal velocity but with asymmetrical bilateral bloodstream.These results prove that TCD is a supplementary method to diagnose headache and dizziness.
