Abstract: Ultrastructral observations on programmed cell death of the nucellar cells in Doritis pulcherrima showed some distinct characteristics,that is,demonstrated condensation of the chromatin;decreased quantity of mitochondria or the loss of their cristae;increased amount of vacuoles,and some of which contained residum of organelles or membrane structures.
