The Study of Phase Transition of Magnetorheological Fluids

Abstract

Abstract: The free energy of magnetorheological (MR) fluids is calculated basing on the model of simple dipoles,the osmotic pressure of the system is considered,the phase transition of MR fluids is studied.The results show that Magnetorhiological Fluids expriences a liquid phase to a solid phase when the applied magnetic field exceeds critical magnetic field.In addition,the phase transition can occur with the change of temperature.
