Abstract: The priority problem of complementary judgment matrix,in which the decision information is given in the form of fuzzy variables,is studied. It presents the concepts of fuzzy complementary judgment matrix and fuzzy additive consistency judgment matrix and their properties. Then a universal priority method is developed. This method can not only solve the priority problem of complementary judgment matrix that the decision information is given in the form of special fuzzy numbers, such as interval number, triangular fuzzy number, and trapezoidal fuzzy number, but also can solve the priority problem of complementary judgment matrix that the decision information is given in the form of general fuzzy variables.

Key words: fuzzy complementary judgment matrix, expected value, priority, middle transfer method
