Abstract: Due to the natureal,economic,and historical restrictions,the urbanization in Xiangxi Autonomous prefecture started from a poor foundation,and there exists a large gap from the overall level of Hunan province.Therefore,the task of realizing the new-type urbanization is really tough.It is necessary to get a clear understanding of the current situation and developing disadvantage of Xiangxi,to have a comprehensive consideration coordinating policy,global planing,specific measures,and fund rasing,so that a practical approach to urbanization in Xiangxi can be obtained.
