Abstract: A simplified Ansys finite element  model is proposed for modeling pile-supported georeinforced pavement. The Winkler springs with different constant are used to simulate the behavior of the piles and the soft soil. The solution from the Ansys is achieved consistent with the experiment data. The finite element parameters analysis shows that the setttlement decreases when the values of compression modulus of the granulars, elasticity modulus of the geosynthetic or the reaction coefficient of the piles keep rising. And when these parameters increase to a certain degree, the settlement decrease would not go further.Meanwhile, the effects of layer number on settlement can be neglected.

Key words: pile-supported, geosynthetic reinforced material, finite element, settlement
