Abstract:

To investigate the pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) and pathologic changes of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) in serum and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (TIMP-2) content, and provide a theoretical basis for the monitoring of PTB changes in patients with tuberculosis and treatment effect in order to judge, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method is for the detection of 60 cases of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 20 cases without lung disease patients (control group) the contents of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 in serum  and the test of pulmonary function tests. Results showed that pulmonary tuberculosis (MMP-2:157.52±21.04;TIMP-2:185.15±14.08)and chronic fibrocavernous pulmonary tuberculosis(MMP-2:169.48±18.13;TIMP-2:208.60±17.06)were significantly higher than that in normal lung function and other types of TB patients (significant differences were statistically significant (p<0.01)).In patients with PTB change, the proportion of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 gradually approached the normal lung function group as the disease improved. It can be concluded that the relationship between the content of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 has certain clinical value in monitoring and treatment of the two types of tuberculosis, and further research should be done.
