Abstract: The sports industry has become the pillar industry of China's national economy.Among them,the sports event broadcasting industry,which is generated by the broadcasting of sports events through emerging media such as TV and the Internet,is an important part of it.The broadcasting right of sports events is the core right of the sports event broadcasting industry.However,in practice,there are many disputes surrounding it,and the legal protection is insufficient.Relevant legal provisions are scattered in copyright law,contract law,anti-unfair competition law and other laws.Therefore,in order to promote the healthy development of sports industry in China,relevant legislation should be accelerated.The broadcasting right of sports events should be included in the protection of intangible property rights,and in the regulation of broadcasting organization rights,thereby creating a strong legal protection mechanism.
