Abstract:

Based on the representative DELLA protein sequences from angiosperms,we analyzed the phylogenetic evolution of DELLA gene family in angiosperm.A duplication event is found in the early diversification of the DELLA genes in dicotyledons which split into two large branches, each representing the rosids and asterids respectively. While the monocotyledon did not undergo an early replication event, and all the DELLA genes clustered together to form a single clade. In addition,a third group of DELLA genes is found in dicotyledon.
