Residents' Perception of Benefits of Por-Poor Tourism for Poverty-Stricken Areas:A Case of Dehang Scenic Spot

Abstract:

To evaluate the social,cultural,economic,and environmental effects of tourism in the work of poverty alleviation,a questionnaire was conducted in the Dehang scenic spot and the results was analyzed through SPSS.The results showed that poverty-stricken areas can quickly get rid of poverty by developing tourism which has a positive impact on the local economy and social culture.Residents' perceptions of and attitudes towards pro-poor tourism are different due to the different demographic characteristics.
