Abstract:

A novel squint synthetic aperture radar imaging method with down sampling echo is proposed to solve the problem of huge SAR data transmission and storage. In this method, the echo is under-sampling in the azimuth, and the migration correction and range pulse compression are firstly performed by traditional Rang-Doppler algorithm, and then the azimuth focusing is completed by smoothed l0 algorithm according compressed sensing theory. This method can effectively reduce the amount of SAR echo data in sparse scenes, and obtain high resolution 2D imaging results with only 25% of the traditional data size.
