Abstract: Based on the Newton ring interference experiment and the photoelectric effect experiment, the model simulation and data analysis of the principle of light interference experiment were carried out with the help of Matlab software. On this basis, the relationship between the maximum frequency of incident light and the cut-off voltage of six types of colored glass combined with incandescent lamps to form incident light sources with different wavelength ranges was explored.A new method for measuring Planck's constant based on the principle of visibility was proposed.Firstly, natural light was filtered through colored glass to obtain a small band light source.Secondly, the frequency range of the incident light was determined by Newton's rings interference to obtain the maximum frequency. Then, the cut-off voltage was measured by the zero current method, and the relationship between the maximum frequency of the incident light and the cut-off voltage was analyzed. Finally,Planck's constant h was calculated to be approximately 6.198×10-34 J·s,with a relative error of 6.46%.This method can measure Planck's constant in a simple environment.
