Abstract: The PC is constituted by air holes distributed in a uniform dielectric parallelly.A good-quality focus of a plane wave can appear out of the PC structure, and a strong far field focus is also formed from the PC interface.A negative-refractive beam at the frequency 0.19(2πc/a) for the excited Bloch wave mode near the BZ (Brillouin Zone) edges under all incident angles were obtained by simulation.
