Leaching of Manganese from the Residue of Electrolytic Manganese

Abstract

Abstract: The effects of temperature,liquid/solid ratio,reaction time,acid/ore ratio,usage of addition agents on Mn²⁺ leaching rate were investigated by choosing five addition agents(noted as A,B,C,D and E) with different structure.Experimental results show E helps improve the Mn²⁺ leaching rate greatly.The optimal conditions were obtained as follows:liquid/solid ratio is 1:3,acid/ore ratio is 0.3:1,reaction temperature is 60℃,reaction time is 90min and the usage of E is 0.6%.Under these conditions,the Mn²⁺ leaching rate of 52.8% can be obtained.
