Preparation of Co3O4 Through Hydrothermal Method and Its Electrochemical Performance

Abstract:

Cobalt nitrate and hexamethylenetetramine as raw material,Co3O4 was prepared through hydrothermal method at different temperature and time.The structure and morphology of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The results show that the obtained  Co3O4 presents different morphologies with different experimental conditions changing.The galvanostatic charge-discharge,cyclic voltammetry (CV) and the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests showed that Co3O4  synthesized at 120  ℃ for 24  h has a high initial discharge capacity which is up to 1 176.8 mAh/g,and  it has good stability as well.
