Abstract:

In maximum likelihood estimations (MLEs) of the three-parameter from Beta Distribution，since the explicit solutions of the corresponding likelihood equations can not be obtained，the genetic algorithm is applied to obtain numerical solutions of the likelihood equations.The numerical results show that numerical solutions of MLEs by genetic algorithm are very close to true values.
