Abstract: In the practice of national targeted poverty alleviation strategy, cultural poverty alleviation has become an important means to help poor areas get rid of poverty and become rich. Improving the cultural literacy of poor groups is the premise for them to get rid of economic poverty stably. Reading promotion Library is not only an effective way to improve the people's cultural literacy in poor areas, but also one of the important ways of cultural poverty reduction. Taking the public libraries in Wuling Mountain ethnic settlement as an example, this paper studies the cultural poverty reduction assisted by library reading popularization, analyzes the practical cases and existing problems of the cultural poverty reduction assisted by library reading popularization by using investigation method and case analysis method, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures. It is expected to provide useful reference for the reading promotion of grassroots public libraries in ethnic areas to help consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural cultural revitalization.
