The signal timing problem of two adjacent intersections is studied.First,a single intersection is taken as the object of study.The capacity and the average delay time are selected as the evaluation indexes.The multi-objective joint optimization function is constructed.The average delay time is modified to establish the optimal signal timing model. Through determination of the relative position of A and B intersections and introduction of the average delay time, and according to the current parameters of the intersections, the actual saturation flow rates of the left-turn and right-turn lane are calculated.The genetic algorithm is used to calculate the optimal timing scheme and the simulation model is tested.The results show that the scheme has a significant effect on relieving the traffic pressure.
